It was a busy year at GCI!
For most of 2022, we were back to “normal” (or as close to the old normal as we are likely to get) and we want to thank all our customers for helping make that possible. It was good to get back to in-person training and meetings again, and back to attending conferences. It was especially great to see so many familiar faces at ASGMT, ISHM, and AGA.
New for 2022
We launched the Oil & Gas Measurement Podcast in Jan 2022
During 2022 we released a new episode each month featuring industry experts discussing a wide range of measurement topics. We have an exciting (to a measurement geek) list of topics for 2023, but you still have time to chime in with your suggestions for topics or guests!
Be on the lookout for a new episode on the third Wednesday of each month.

New class curriculum in 2022: Back-office Gas Measurement Fundaments
Geared towards office folks such as measurement analysts, settlement accountants, and auditors, the Back-Office Gas Measurement Fundamentals course is another valuable course offering from GCI. We will be offering this both in-person and as an instructor-led online course in 2023.
This course presents the fundamental concepts, terminology, standards, and best practices that natural gas custody measurement is based upon, focusing on the context needed by measurement analysts and other back-office professionals.
CEUs (Continuing Education Units) – GCI now offers CEUs through the Texas A&M University System.
Like so many great things, it took longer than we would have liked, but as of October 2022, all in-person Gas Certification Institute courses can receive CEU units. Read our announcement blog to learn more about CEUs.
SCADA Training is back!
After a couple of years without SCADA Fundamentals on our schedule, it was reintroduced in July 2022 and it will also return in 2023. This course introduces SCADA Operators, control room support personnel, communications technicians, field I&E techs, and managers to the regulatory and technical complexity of SCADA environments.

NEW FOR 2023
User-Group Meeting
We are still in the planning stages, but GCI, EnerSys, and P.I. Confluence will host our first User-Group Meeting in Houston this Fall. This is an opportunity for our valued customers and partners to meet face-to-face with our team and provide your input on our products and solutions. We’ll also use this as an opportunity to discuss our roadmap and future plans for our offerings.
